Bridging research and real-world change

We’re Nicole and Astrid, co-founders of Noetic. We met as master’s students studying at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where we combined sustainable economics and social psychology to explore how societies can shift from extractive to regenerative systems.

As social scientists and sustainability experts, we saw a gap between academic theory and practioners on the ground. We teamed up—becoming the department’s first-ever dissertation team—to apply cutting-edge social science theories to a real-world system, proving the transformative effects of understanding people within systems to further decarbonisation.

Along the way, we developed a proprietary mapping tool to help see and understand the inner dimension of systems, a tool we want to share with any organisations on the path of sustainable transformation.

We have over a decade of experience advising global corporations, nonprofits, and international governing bodies. We’ve lived in communities on the front lines of climate change. And we’re working with some of the world’s leading academic institutions to advance the field of systems change.
